Initiator of the Management Through Relationships model of organization design.
Through working for several institutions early in my career I came to learn that organisations are highly productive when management and employees share the same values - they don't question or debate, they just get on with it.
Understanding the benefit and importance of shared values to organisation success became my holy grail.
In 1995 I discovered a book, New Wisdom II written by Australian authors which gave meaning to my search. Around the same time I was highly influenced by a DVD, Leadership and the New Science by Dr. Margaret Wheatley that posed challenges for structuring future organizations but no answers.
At that time Paul Chippendale co-author of New Wisdom II founded the Minessence Group centred on a psychometric instrument (AVI) for measuring values.
In 1996 I became an accredited values consultant with the Values Education Network that was a part of that group. This was a forerunner of the now Minessence International Co-operative of which I am also an accredited consultant together with over 60 other consultants in Australia, UK, USA and Canada.
For the next 20 years I continued in executive HR roles all the time learning, applying and testing my understanding of the importance of shared values in structuring an organisation for business success in a changing world.
My program Management Through Relationships is the culmination of my work journey of discovery.
